Title: Mesophotic and Deep Benthic Communities: CTD data collected on the R/V Point Sur and ROV Mohawk during Expedition PS-22-22 in the Gulf of Mexico from 2022-06-01 to 2022-06-10 (NCEI Accession 0277171)
Abstract: This dataset contains CTD files collected from both the R/V Point Sur CTD rosette casts and the ROV Mohawk during Expedition PS-22-22. The ship conducted 19 CTD casts and sensors on the ROV recorded CTD data during its 23 dives. Plots of the CTD data are also included. Data were collected from mesophotic sites in northeastern Gulf of Mexico from 2022-06-01 to 2022-06-10

Supplementary information: This accession contains raw and converted CTD data collected under the following cruise ID: PS2222, and is part of a larger collection of other cruise specific datasets.

The data documentation file included in the data package describes data files archived as a NOAA NCEI data accession, and is intended to provide dataset-level metadata for the purposes of discovery, use, and understanding.

Methods:A CTD rosette was deployed 1-2 times each day while at sea at 12 different sites across the northern Gulf of Mexico. Water was collected from the cast for eDNA, aquaria water changes, and water chemistry analyses. The data in this package represent the environmental parameters collected across the entire water column during the CTD casts.
