During a tuna tagging research experiment implemented to provide data that are used for WCPO tuna stock assessment, the tagging platform FV Gutsy Lady4 spent 2 days within the Jarvis waters. Tuna tagging occurred on small tuna schools associated with drifting FADs. One skipjack tuna, 8 yellowfin and 3 bigeyes were tagged and released.
