| Abstract: | This dataset contains the edited ship's Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP) underway data collected in the Chukchi Sea during the 9 August - 3 September 2015 Arctic Marine Biodiversity Observing Network (AMBON) research cruises. The dataset is a .dat file for each year consisting of bottom depth, water temperature, and water velocity averaged at 30-minute intervals along the ship's route. The data provides information on important Arctic Chukchi Sea ecosystem parameters, including temperature, salinity, and nutrient content. In aggregate these variables are basic descriptors of the water masses entering the Chukchi Sea from the Pacific through Bering Strait. This dataset was transformed from the native format into a table structure to netCDF as per NCEI guidelines. |
