Title: Targeted shrimp and bycatch (counts and CPUE) collected during tests of turtle excluder devices (TEDs) in small trynets conducted in the north Gulf of Mexico from 2017-09-12 to 2017-09-21 (NCEI Accession 0226600)
Abstract: This dataset contains records of Gulf of Mexico (GOM) white shrimp (Litopenaeus setiferus), and brown shrimp (Farfantepenaeus aztecus), and bycatch (other invertebrates, crustaceans, fishes, debris) which can be used to test for general usability of TEDs in the commercial small trynet fisheries. The data set contains records of targeted white shrimp and brown shrimp and bycatch (counts and CPUE) collected during tests of TEDs in small trynets conducted in the north GOM near Pascagoula and Ocean Springs, MS. Data also include testing information such as depth, boat speed, and georeferencing information.
