Title: NCCOS mapping: seafloor mapping products for Kachemak Bay, Cook Inlet, AK, from 2005-07-06 to 2017-07-19 (NCEI Accession 0209109)
Abstract: This dataset contains seafloor mapping data from hydrographic multibeam sonar surveys, a thematic benthic habitat map created from these multibeam sonar surveys, and georeferenced benthic photographs and video clips, all collected in and around Kachemak Bay, Alaska. The multibeam dataset contains the bathymetric data collected by NOAA Ship Fairweather and NOAA Ship Rainier in the summers of 2008 and 2009. Underwater videos for ground validation were acquired during the field missions of July 2016 and July 2017 aboard R/V Edgecumbe. An additional seagrass map, generated by manual interpretation of air photos captured in 2005, is also included, as are the air photos.
