Title: NOAA Coral Reef Watch Daily (CRW) Global 5-km (0.05 degree) Satellite Coral Bleaching Thermal Stress Monitoring Product Suite (Daily and Monthly Composite files) from 1985-12-01 to 1985-12-31 (NCEI Accession 0183132)
Abstract: The NOAA Coral Reef Watch (CRW) daily global 5-km (0.05 degree) satellite coral bleaching thermal stress monitoring product suite is a next-generation version of CRW's twice-weekly 50-km (0.5 degree) satellite monitoring product suite. The high-resolution 5-km suite is based on the NOAA/NESDIS operational daily global 5-km Geo-Polar (geostationary-polar-orbiting) Blended Night-only SST Analysis. The data suite currently includes sea surface temperature (SST), SST Anomaly, Coral Bleaching HotSpot (HS), Degree Heating Week (DHW), and Bleaching Alert Area (BAA) products, along with a 7-day SST Trend product. This product suite also includes Monthly, as well as Annual composite (maximum, minimum, and mean) products based on the daily products. This 5-km product suite provides service at or near reef-scales, allowing direct monitoring of majority of global coral reefs and significantly reducing data gaps in the 50-km products caused by cloud cover. The 5-km products now comprise the core of CRW's next-generation Decision Support System (DSS) for coral bleaching management. File formats provided are: netCDF and PNG.
