Title: Biological, chemical, and other data collected aboard the R/V Falkor during cruise FK180420 in the North Pacific Ocean from 2018-04-20 to 2018-05-19 (NCEI Accession 0177755)
Abstract: This dataset includes biological, chemical, and other data collected aboard the R/V Falkor during cruise FK180420 in the North Pacific Ocean from 2018-04-20 to 2018-05-19. These data include Attenuation/Transmission, CONDUCTIVITY, CURRENT SPEED - EAST/WEST COMPONENT (U), CURRENT SPEED - NORTH/SOUTH COMPONENT (V), DEPTH - BOTTOM, DEPTH - OBSERVATION, DISSOLVED OXYGEN, FLUORESCENCE, HYDROSTATIC PRESSURE, LATITUDE, LONGITUDE, SALINITY, WATER TEMPERATURE, course over ground, irradiance, speed over ground, and turbidity. The instruments used to collect these data include ADCP, CTD, GPS, PAR Sensor, echo sounder, fluorometer, oxygen sensor, and transmissometer. These data were collected by Barbara Block of Stanford University, Paul Duncan of Schmidt Ocean Institute, Monica Gonzales of Schmidt Ocean Institute, and Kaarel Raeis of Schmidt Ocean Institute as part of Voyage to the White Shark Café. The Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory (LDEO) submitted these data to NCEI as part of the Rolling Deck to Repository (R2R) program.

A suite of navigation products produced by the Rolling Deck to Repository program is included in this accession, which include one high resolution, one 1 minute resolution, and one low resolution coordinate file. R2R provides a processed version of the CTD data. The ADCP data represent the raw data set. Post processed quality assessed data are not available in this accession.

Supplementary information: NCEI Accession 0086548 contains documentation about data sets submitted to NCEI as part of the Rolling Deck to Repository program. Links directly to the documentation for each instrument package can be found in the Distribution Format section of the metadata record at https://www.ncei.noaa.gov/archive/accession/0177755.

In this accession, NCEI has archived multiple versions of these data. The latest (and best) version of these data has the largest version number.
