Title: Sea surface salinity and temperature, pCO2 and chlorophyll collected from VO65/Turn the Tide on Plastic in the Mediterranean Sea, the North and South Atlantic Ocean, South Indian Ocean, West and South Pacific Ocean and others from 2017-10-22 to 2018-05-08 (NCEI Accession 0170967)
Abstract: This accession contains surface oceanographic data collected in situ from the Leg 0,1,2,3,4,6,7 and 8 of the Volvo Ocean Race 2017/18 onboard "Turn the Tide on Plastic". The data variables include pCO2, chlorophyll, sea surface temperature and salinity. The pCO2 data was calibrated daily with a zero calibration and in every port with a standard gas. The data was calculated as one minute averages with a variation in difference below 0.1. The instrument used is an OceanPack RACE manufactured by SubCtech in Kiel.
