Title: Biological, chemical and other data collected aboard the NEW HORIZON during cruise NH1317 in the North Pacific Ocean from 2013-07-24 to 2013-07-26 (NCEI Accession 0138163)
Abstract: This dataset includes biological, chemical and other data collected aboard the NEW HORIZON during cruise NH1317 in the North Pacific Ocean from 2013-07-24 to 2013-07-26. These data include Attenuation/Transmission, CONDUCTIVITY, CURRENT SPEED - EAST/WEST COMPONENT (U), CURRENT SPEED - NORTH/SOUTH COMPONENT (V), DEPTH - BOTTOM, DEPTH - OBSERVATION, DISSOLVED OXYGEN, FLUORESCENCE, HYDROSTATIC PRESSURE, LATITUDE, LONGITUDE, SALINITY, WATER TEMPERATURE, course over ground, speed over ground and surface irradiance. The instruments used to collect these data include ADCP, CTD, GPS, PAR Sensor, echo sounder, fluorometer, oxygen meter and transmissometer. These data were collected by Jules Jaffe of University of California - San Diego; Scripps Institution of Oceanography, Peter Franks of University of California - San Diego; Scripps Institution of Oceanography, Melissa Carter of University of California - San Diego; Scripps Institution of Oceanography, Amanda Debich of University of California - San Diego; Scripps Institution of Oceanography, Benjamin Laxton of University of California - San Diego; Scripps Institution of Oceanography, Simone Baumann-Pickering of University of California - San Diego; Scripps Institution of Oceanography, Adrien Boch of University of California - San Diego, Lisa Conner of University of California - San Diego, Falko Kuester of University of California - San Diego, Bruce Laughlin of University of California - San Diego, Andy Mullen of University of California - San Diego, Jenny Trickey of University of California - San Diego and Keith York of University of California - San Diego as part of Swarms and Underwater AUV Imaging Project. The Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory (LDEO) submitted these data to NCEI as part of the Rolling Deck to Repository (R2R) program.

A suite of navigation products produced by the Rolling Deck to Repository program is included in this accession, which include one high resolution, one 1 minute resolution, and one low resolution coordinate file. R2R provides a processed version of the CTD data. The ADCP data represent the raw data set. Post processed quality assessed data are not available in this accession.

Supplementary information: NCEI Accession 0086548 contains documentation about data sets submitted to NCEI as part of the Rolling Deck to Repository program.

One or more of the data packages in this dataset contain an incorrect data license. The R2R team has requested that all such packages must be documented with a Creative Commons CC0 1.0 Universal (CC0 1.0) Public Domain Dedication. The documentation has been updated accordingly. However, none of the original data files have been changed.

In this accession, NCEI has archived multiple versions of these data. The latest (and best) version of these data has the largest version number.
