The Ocean Archive System searches our original datasets as they were submitted to us, not individual points or profiles. If you want to search and retrieve ocean profiles in a common format, or objectively analyzed fields, your better option may be to use one of our project applications. See: Access Data

Title: Dissolved inorganic carbon, pH, alkalinity, temperature, salinity and other variables collected from discrete sample and profile observations using CTD, bottle and other instruments from the KAIYO-MARU and MIRAI in the North Pacific Ocean from 1999-05-21 to 1999-09-10 (NODC Accession 0115168)
Abstract: NODC Accession 0115168 includes biological, chemical, discrete sample, physical and profile data collected from KAIYO-MARU and MIRAI in the North Pacific Ocean from 1999-05-21 to 1999-09-10 and retrieved during cruise WOCE_P01_49NZ19990823. These data include ALKALINITY, Barium, CHLOROFLUOROCARBON-11 (CFC-11), CHLOROFLUOROCARBON-113 (CFC-113), CHLOROFLUOROCARBON-12 (CFC-12), CHLOROPHYLL A, Calcium, Copper, DELTA CARBON-13, DELTA CARBON-14, DISSOLVED INORGANIC CARBON, DISSOLVED OXYGEN, HYDROSTATIC PRESSURE, NITRATE, NITRITE, Nickel, PHOSPHATE, Potential temperature (theta), SALINITY, SIGMA-T, SILICATE, SULFUR HEXAFLUORIDE (SF6), Total Organic Carbon (TOC), WATER TEMPERATURE and pH. The instruments used to collect these data include CTD and bottle. These data were collected by Tsuneo Ono of National Research Institute of Fisheries Science and Masao Fukasawa of Tokai University; College of Marine Science and Technology as part of the WOCE_P01_SAGE_1_Revisit data set.

The World Ocean Circulation Experiment (WOCE) was a major component of the World Climate Research Program with the overall goal of better understanding the ocean's role in climate and climatic changes resulting from both natural and anthropogenic causes. The CO2 survey took advantage of the sampling opportunities provided by the WOCE Hydrographic Program (WHP) cruises during this period between 1990 and 1998. The final collection covers approximately 23,000 stations from 94 WOCE cruises.
