The Ocean Archive System searches our original datasets as they were submitted to us, not individual points or profiles. If you want to search and retrieve ocean profiles in a common format, or objectively analyzed fields, your better option may be to use one of our project applications. See: Access Data

Title: | Partial pressure (or fugacity) of carbon dioxide, dissolved inorganic carbon, pH, alkalinity, temperature, salinity and other variables collected from discrete sample and profile observations using Alkalinity titrator, CTD and other instruments from the RONALD H. BROWN in the South Atlantic Ocean from 2011-09-26 to 2011-10-31 (NODC Accession 0109914) |
Abstract: | NODC Accession 0109914 includes chemical, discrete sample, meteorological, physical and profile data collected from RONALD H. BROWN in the South Atlantic Ocean from 2011-09-26 to 2011-10-31 and retrieved during cruise CLIVAR_A10_2011. These data include AIR-SEA DIFFERENCE - PARTIAL PRESSURE (OR FUGACITY) OF CARBON DIOXIDE, ALKALINITY, BAROMETRIC PRESSURE, CARBON DIOXIDE - AIR, CHLOROFLUOROCARBON-11 (CFC-11), CHLOROFLUOROCARBON-12 (CFC-12), Carbon tetrachloride (CCL4), DELTA CARBON-13, DELTA CARBON-14, DISSOLVED INORGANIC CARBON, DISSOLVED ORGANIC CARBON, DISSOLVED OXYGEN, HYDROSTATIC PRESSURE, NITRATE, NITRITE, PHOSPHATE, Partial pressure (or fugacity) of carbon dioxide, Potential temperature (theta), SALINITY, SEA SURFACE TEMPERATURE, SILICATE, SULFUR HEXAFLUORIDE (SF6), Total Dissolved Nitrogen (TDN), WATER TEMPERATURE and pH. The instruments used to collect these data include Alkalinity titrator, CTD, Coulometer for DIC measurement, bottle and pH meter. These data were collected by Frank J. Millero of Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science, Dr. Rik H. Wanninkhof of US DOC; NOAA; OAR; Atlantic Oceanographic and Meteorological Laboratory, Richard A. Feely of US DOC; NOAA; OAR; Pacific Marine Environmental Laboratory and Craig A. Carlson of University of California - Santa Barbara as part of the CLIVAR_A10_2011 data set. The International CLIVAR Global Ocean Carbon and Repeat Hydrography Program carries out a systematic and global re-occupation of select WOCE/JGOFS hydrographic sections to quantify changes in storage and transport of heat, fresh water, carbon dioxide (CO2), and related parameters. |

Supplementary information: | These data were acquired by NODC from the Carbon Dioxide Information Analysis Center (CDIAC) in accordance with an archival submission agreement between CDIAC and NODC. The data provider requests citing these data as described in the Cross Reference Citation at: http://data.nodc.noaa.gov/cgi-bin/fgdc?id=gov.noaa.nodc:0109914;view=html NODC cannot verify the accuracy or availability of the data provider's citation information, which is maintained by the Carbon Dioxide Information Analysis Center (CDIAC). In this accession, NODC has archived multiple versions of these data. The latest (and best) version of these data has the largest version number. |
