The Ocean Archive System searches our original datasets as they were submitted to us, not individual points or profiles. If you want to search and retrieve ocean profiles in a common format, or objectively analyzed fields, your better option may be to use one of our project applications. See: Access Data

Title: | Biological, chemical and other data collected aboard the R/V THOMAS G. THOMPSON during cruise TN256 in the Coastal Waters of Southeast Alaska and British Columbia from 2010-10-23 to 2010-11-03 (NCEI Accession 0104361) |
Abstract: | This dataset includes biological, chemical and other data collected aboard the R/V THOMAS G. THOMPSON during cruise TN256 in the Coastal Waters of Southeast Alaska and British Columbia from 2010-10-23 to 2010-11-03. These data include Attenuation/Transmission, CONDUCTIVITY, CURRENT SPEED - EAST/WEST COMPONENT (U), CURRENT SPEED - NORTH/SOUTH COMPONENT (V), DEPTH - BOTTOM, DEPTH - OBSERVATION, DISSOLVED OXYGEN, FLUORESCENCE, HYDROSTATIC PRESSURE, LATITUDE, LONGITUDE, SALINITY, WATER TEMPERATURE, course over ground, irradiance and speed over ground. The instruments used to collect these data include ADCP, CTD, GPS, PAR Sensor, echo sounder, fluorometer, oxygen meter and transmissometer. These data were collected by William Wilcock of University of Washington, Janet Newton of University of Washington; Applied Physics Laboratory, Charles Nittrouer of University of Washington, Mitsuhiro Kawase of University of Washington, E. Virginia Armbrust of University of Washington, Paul Quay of University of Washington and Kristian Haapa-aho of University of Washington as part of Student Cruise/Puget Sound Regional Synthesis Model (PRISM). The Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory (LDEO) submitted these data to NCEI as part of the Rolling Deck to Repository (R2R) program. A suite of navigation products produced by the Rolling Deck to Repository program is included in this accession, which include one high resolution, one 1 minute resolution, and one low resolution coordinate file. The CTD data submitted by the originator represent the raw data suite. [Processed versions of the data were generated by NCEI.] R2R provides a processed version of the CTD data. The ADCP data represent the raw data set. Post processed quality assessed data are not available in this accession. |

Supplementary information: | NCEI Accession 0086548 contains documentation about datasets submitted to NCEI as part of the Rolling Deck to Repository program. One or more of the data packages in this dataset contains an incorrect data license. The R2R team has requested that all such packages must be documented with a Creative Commons CC0 1.0 Universal (CC0 1.0) Public Domain Dedication. The documentation has been updated accordingly. However, none of the original data files have been changed. In this accession, NCEI has archived multiple versions of these data. The latest (and best) version of these data has the largest version number. |
