| Abstract: | This dataset includes biological, chemical, and other data collected aboard the R/V THOMAS G. THOMPSON during cruise TN253 in the North Pacific Ocean from 2010-08-26 to 2010-09-07. These data include Attenuation/Transmission, CONDUCTIVITY, CURRENT SPEED - EAST/WEST COMPONENT (U), CURRENT SPEED - NORTH/SOUTH COMPONENT (V), DEPTH - BOTTOM, DEPTH - OBSERVATION, DISSOLVED OXYGEN, FLUORESCENCE, HYDROSTATIC PRESSURE, LATITUDE, LONGITUDE, SALINITY, WATER TEMPERATURE, course over ground, irradiance, and speed over ground. The instruments used to collect these data include ADCP, CTD, GPS, PAR Sensor, bathythermograph - XBT, echo sounder, fluorometer, oxygen sensor, and transmissometer. These data were collected by William Chadwick of US DOC; NOAA; OAR; Pacific Marine Environmental Laboratory, and by University of Washington as part of NOAA New Millennium Observatory (NeMO) 2010. The Rolling Deck to Repository (R2R) program submitted these data to NCEI. A suite of navigation products produced by the Rolling Deck to Repository program is included in this accession, which include one high resolution, one 1 minute resolution, and one low resolution coordinate file. The CTD data submitted by the originator represent the raw data suite. [Processed versions of the data were generated by NCEI.] The ADCP data represent the raw dataset. Post processed quality assessed data are not available in this accession. R2R provides a processed version of the CTD data. |
