The Ocean Archive System searches our original datasets as they were submitted to us, not individual points or profiles. If you want to search and retrieve ocean profiles in a common format, or objectively analyzed fields, your better option may be to use one of our project applications. See: Access Data

Title: | Biological, chemical, current measurements, navigational, optical, physical, profile, and underway data collected aboard the R/V THOMAS G. THOMPSON during cruise TN252 in the Coastal Waters of Southeast Alaska and British Columbia and North Pacific Ocean from 2010-07-26 to 2010-08-23 (NCEI Accession 0104356) |
Abstract: | This dataset includes biological, chemical, current measurements, navigational, optical, physical, profile, and underway data collected aboard the R/V THOMAS G. THOMPSON during cruise TN252 in the Coastal Waters of Southeast Alaska and British Columbia and North Pacific Ocean from 2010-07-26 to 2010-08-23. These data include Attenuation/Transmission, CONDUCTIVITY, CURRENT SPEED - EAST/WEST COMPONENT (U), CURRENT SPEED - NORTH/SOUTH COMPONENT (V), DEPTH - BOTTOM, DEPTH - OBSERVATION, DISSOLVED OXYGEN, FLUORESCENCE, HYDROSTATIC PRESSURE, LATITUDE, LONGITUDE, SALINITY, WATER TEMPERATURE, course over ground, and speed over ground. The instruments used to collect these data include ADCP, CTD, GPS, bathythermograph - XBT, echo sounder, fluorometer, oxygen sensor, and transmissometer. These data were collected by John Delaney of University of Washington as part of Ocean Observatories Initiative (OOI): Cabled Array (ENLIGHTEN'10). The Rolling Deck to Repository (R2R) program submitted these data to NCEI. R2R provides a processed version of the CTD data. The CTD data submitted by the originator represent the raw data suite. [Processed versions of the data were generated by NCEI.] A suite of navigation products produced by R2R is included in this dataset, comprised of one high resolution, one 1 minute resolution, and one low resolution coordinate file. The ADCP data represent the raw dataset. Post processed quality assessed data are not available in this dataset. |

Supplementary information: | NCEI Accession 0086548 contains documentation about datasets submitted to NCEI as part of the R2R program. One or more of the data packages in this dataset contains an incorrect data license. The R2R program has requested that all such packages must be documented with a Creative Commons CC0 1.0 Universal (CC0 1.0) Public Domain Dedication. The documentation has been updated accordingly. However, none of the original data files have been changed. In this accession, NCEI has archived multiple versions of these data. The latest (and best) version of these data has the largest version number. |
