| Abstract: | This dataset includes current measurements, navigational, and other data collected aboard the R/V THOMAS G. THOMPSON during cruise TN230 in the South Pacific Ocean from 2009-03-01 to 2009-03-12. These data include CONDUCTIVITY, CURRENT SPEED - EAST/WEST COMPONENT (U), CURRENT SPEED - NORTH/SOUTH COMPONENT (V), DEPTH - BOTTOM, DEPTH - OBSERVATION, HYDROSTATIC PRESSURE, LATITUDE, LONGITUDE, SALINITY, WATER TEMPERATURE, course over ground, and speed over ground. The instruments used to collect these data include ADCP, CTD, GPS, bathythermograph - XBT, and echo sounder. These data were collected by Richard Keil of University of Washington as part of Student Cruise. The Rolling Deck to Repository (R2R) program submitted these data to NCEI. R2R provides a processed version of the CTD data. A suite of navigation products produced by the Rolling Deck to Repository program is included in this accession, which include one high resolution, one 1 minute resolution, and one low resolution coordinate file. The ADCP data represent the raw dataset. Post processed quality assessed data are not available in this accession. |
