The Ocean Archive System searches our original datasets as they were submitted to us, not individual points or profiles. If you want to search and retrieve ocean profiles in a common format, or objectively analyzed fields, your better option may be to use one of our project applications. See: Access Data

Title: SAMOS project underway oceanographic and quality-controlled meteorological data collected aboard the DAVID STARR JORDAN from 2008-09-01 to 2008-09-21 (NODC Accession 0100917)
Abstract: The data logging system on the DAVID STARR JORDAN recorded underway oceanographic and meteorological data from various instruments while cruising in the North Pacific Ocean from 2008-09-01 to 2008-09-21. During this period, as part of the Shipboard Automated Meteorological and Oceanographic System (SAMOS) project, the data logging system sent the data daily via e-mail to Florida State University (FSU), where the Center for Ocean-Atmospheric Prediction Studies (COAPS) quality-controlled (QCed) the meteorological data. COAPS submitted three versions of the data to the National Oceanographic Data Center (NODC): the original data e-mailed by the data logging system and first-level (automatically and merged) QCed data. NODC Accession 0100917 contains all these data.
