Title: Bottle profile data collected aboard the USCGC SENECA in the Atlantic Ocean from 1915-04-02 to 1915-05-20 (NCEI Accession 9700096)
Abstract: This dataset contains temperature and salinity profile data from bottle casts collected aboard the USCGC Seneca in the Grand Banks of Newfoundland and Atlantic Ocean. These data were collected during two cruises of the USCGC Seneca from 4 April 1915 to 20 May 1915 as part of the International Ice Observation and Ice Patrol Service, which was started in response to the passenger steamer Titanic sinking due to an impact with an iceberg.
