Title: Simulation of δ15N and δ18O scale contraction, given the observation of the fraction of O atom exchange with water and blanks (Biological Nitrogen Isotope Fractionation project) on 2021-12-01 (NCEI Accession 0291759)
Abstract: This dataset contains chemical data collected on 2021-12-01. These data include d15N and oxygen 16 to oxygen 18 ratio. These data were collected by Julie Granger of University of Connecticut as part of the "CAREER: The biological nitrogen isotope systematics of ammonium consumption and production (Biological Nitrogen Isotope Fractionation)" project. The Biological and Chemical Oceanography Data Management Office (BCO-DMO) submitted these data to NCEI on 2022-01-14.

The following is the text of the dataset description provided by BCO-DMO:

Simulation of δ15N and δ18O scale contraction, given the observation of the fraction of O atom exchange with water and blanks.

Effects of sample volume and salinity on O atom exchange with water

δ 15 O and δ 18 O scale contraction were simulated given the observations of the fraction of O atom exchange with water during denitrification, blanks originating from the bacterial concentrates, from equilibration with atmospheric N 2 O, or from NO 3 - contamination of the water into which the standards were diluted.
