| Abstract: | This dataset contains data collected in the South Atlantic Ocean and Southern Ocean from 2020-02-08 to 2020-03-07. These data include depth. The instruments used to collect these data include Imaging FlowCytobot. These data were collected by Josh Kohut of State University of New Jersey and Matthew Oliver of University of Delaware as part of the "Collaborative Research: Physical Mechanisms Driving Food Web Focusing in Antarctic Biological Hotspots (Project SWARM)" project. The Biological and Chemical Oceanography Data Management Office (BCO-DMO) submitted these data to NCEI on 2022-09-19. The following is the text of the dataset description provided by BCO-DMO: Image Flow CytoBot Image Data Dataset Description: Acquisition Description: The IFCB sampling occurred on February 8 and March 7 2020 at three stations over Palmer Deep Canyon (see Hudson et al., 2021 for station locations). Water samples for the IFCB were collected with a SeaBird SBE-19 Plus V2 CTD and 6 Niskin bottles, which fired at 5, 35, 75, 100, 150, and 200 m on the upcasts. |
