| Abstract: | This dataset contains biological and survey - biological data collected at Cayman_Islands during deployment Cayman_Reef_Surveys_10-11 in the Caribbean Sea from 2011-08-04 to 2011-08-29. These data include fish_len. These data were collected by Mark Hixon and Tye L. Kindinger of Oregon State University as part of the "Ecological Release and Resistance at Sea: Invasion of Atlantic Coral Reefs by Pacific Lionfish (Lionfish Invasion)" project. The Biological and Chemical Oceanography Data Management Office (BCO-DMO) submitted these data to NCEI on 2019-11-12. The following is the text of the dataset description provided by BCO-DMO: Record of lionfish collected near Little Cayman Island during 2011. Dataset Description: This dataset includes dates, locations, and biological information (e.g. length) of lionfish ( Pterois volitans ) that were collected off of Little Cayman Island, Cayman Islands during the summer of 2011. This dataset includes only lionfish that were collected (handled). For all lionfish sighted, see the "lionfish sightings Cayman 2011" dataset. |
