Title: CTD profile data from ROV Doc Ricketts dives during R/V Western Flyer DEEPC cruises off the California coast from 2016 to 2019 (NCEI Accession 0291472)
Abstract: This dataset contains chemical, optical, and physical data collected on Doc Ricketts and R/V Western Flyer during cruise MBARI DEEPC Cruise and deployment DEEPC_ROV_dives in the North Pacific Ocean from 2016-06-11 to 2019-07-16. These data include depth, dissolved Oxygen, light_trans, salinity calculated from CTD primary sensors, and water temperature. The instruments used to collect these data include CTD Sea-Bird. These data were collected by Steven H. D. Haddock of Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute as part of the "Dimensions: Collaborative Research: Life at extremes: Linking the phylogenetic and genomic diversity of ctenophores to ecophysiological adaptations in the deep sea (DEEPC)" project. The Biological and Chemical Oceanography Data Management Office (BCO-DMO) submitted these data to NCEI on 2021-01-13.

The following is the text of the dataset description provided by BCO-DMO:

CTD profiles collected during ROV dives

Dataset Description:
CTD data from ROV Doc Ricketts dives that were conducted during the R/V Western Flyer MBARI DEEPC Cruise that took place from 2016 to 2019. The data include samples taken by the ROV on the way down and up.

Oxygen saturation quality flags:

0 Data known to be bad, sensor malfunctioned
1 Questionable data contain some spikes but no known problems with the sensor.
2 Auto-loaded data have been automatically loaded but not checked by human eyes
3 Sensors appear to be operating as specified, checked by sensor technician, data looks reasonable
4 Data are good, Scientist has verified the validity of the data
