Title: Chemical composition of diffuse flow vent fluids collected from the Crab Spa site at East Pacific Rise during the AT26-10 oceanographic expedition, Jan. 2014 (Microbial Communities at Deep-Sea Vents project) (NCEI Accession 0278617)
Abstract: This dataset contains chemical data collected on R/V Atlantis during cruise AT26-10 in the North Pacific Ocean from 2014-01-03 to 2014-01-12. These data include depth and sulfate. The instruments used to collect these data include Ion Chromatograph and Isobaric Gas-Tight Sampler. These data were collected by Dr Dionysis Foustoukos of Carnegie Institution for Science as part of the "An Integrated Study of Energy Metabolism, Carbon Fixation, and Colonization Mechanisms in Chemosynthetic Microbial Communities at Deep-Sea Vents (Microbial Communities at Deep-Sea Vents)" project and "Center for Dark Energy Biosphere Investigations (C-DEBI)" and "Dimensions of Biodiversity (Dimensions of Biodiversity)" programs. The Biological and Chemical Oceanography Data Management Office (BCO-DMO) submitted these data to NCEI on 2017-02-13.

The following is the text of the dataset description provided by BCO-DMO:

Chemical composition of diffuse flow vent fluids collected from Crab Spa, 9N on the East Pacific Rise

Dataset Description:
This dataset includes chemical composition (Cl, SO4, Na, K, Mg, and Ca concentrations) of diffuse flow vent fluids collected from the Crab Spa (9.8398º N, 104.2913º W) site at East Pacific Rise during the R/V Atlantic AT26-10 oceanographic expedition, Jan. 2014.
