The Ocean Archive System searches our original datasets as they were submitted to us, not individual points or profiles. If you want to search and retrieve ocean profiles in a common format, or objectively analyzed fields, your better option may be to use one of our project applications. See: Access Data

Title: Physical trajectory profile data from glider glos_236 deployed by Great Lakes Environmental Research Laboratory (GLERL) in the Great Lakes from 2018-07-26 to 2018-09-05 (NCEI Accession 0242916)
Abstract: Slocum glider data were collected during a western Lake Ontario deployment from 2018-07-26 through 2018-09-05. This deployment was in collaboration with the EPA to examine distribution of tributary inputs. The EPA covered the west side of the lake, while CIGLR operated in the east. The CIGLR glider initially deployed from Oswego, NY traveled in a loop west to Rochester Bay, east to Sodus Bay and then back to Oswego Bay. This transect was repeated several times. Note, the glider was deployed in areas of Lake Ontario with at least 30 m of depth. The glider collected vertical profiles of conductivity, temperature, depth, chlorophyll, colored dissolved organic matter (CDOM), backscatter, and photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) between depths of 0 and 135 m.

The National Centers for Environmental Information (NCEI) received the data in this dataset from the Integrated Ocean Observing System's National Glider Data Assembly Center (IOOS NGDAC). The IOOS NGDAC received the data in one or more netCDF files comprising an entire glider deployment. The data are measurements of physical oceanographic properties such as temperature, salinity, conductivity, and density. The IOOS NGDAC checked the files for compliance to their netCDF file convention, aggregated the files into a single netCDF file, and then submitted the file to NCEI for long-term preservation.
