Title: Chemical, navigational, and other data collected aboard the R/V Pelican during cruise PE18-14 in the Gulf of Mexico from 2017-10-26 to 2017-11-01 (NCEI Accession 0210015)
Abstract: This dataset includes chemical, navigational, and other data collected aboard the R/V Pelican during cruise PE18-14 in the Gulf of Mexico from 2017-10-26 to 2017-11-01. These data include Attenuation/Transmission, CONDUCTIVITY, DEPTH - BOTTOM, DEPTH - OBSERVATION, DISSOLVED OXYGEN, HYDROSTATIC PRESSURE, LATITUDE, LONGITUDE, SALINITY, WATER TEMPERATURE, course over ground, speed over ground, and surface irradiance. The instruments used to collect these data include CTD, GPS, PAR Sensor, echo sounder, oxygen sensor, and transmissometer. These data were collected by Mel Parsons of US Environmental Protection Agency, and by Louisiana Universities Marine Consortium as part of Benthic Survey. The Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory (LDEO) submitted these data to NCEI as part of the Rolling Deck to Repository (R2R) program.

A suite of navigation products produced by the Rolling Deck to Repository program is included in this accession, which include one high resolution, one 1 minute resolution, and one low resolution coordinate file. R2R provides a processed version of the CTD data.

Supplementary information: NCEI Accession 0086548 contains documentation about data sets submitted to NCEI as part of the Rolling Deck to Repository program. Links directly to the documentation for each instrument package can be found in the Distribution Format section of the metadata record at https://www.ncei.noaa.gov/archive/accession/0210015.

In this accession, NCEI has archived multiple versions of these data. The latest (and best) version of these data has the largest version number.
