| Abstract: | This dataset includes navigational, physical and other data collected aboard the Sikuliaq during cruise SKQ201819S in the Arctic Ocean, Beaufort Sea and Bering Sea from 2018-09-01 to 2018-09-30. These data include CURRENT SPEED - EAST/WEST COMPONENT (U), CURRENT SPEED - NORTH/SOUTH COMPONENT (V), LATITUDE, LONGITUDE, WATER TEMPERATURE, course over ground and speed over ground. The instruments used to collect these data include ADCP, GPS and bathythermograph - XBT. These data were collected by Jennifer MacKinnon of University of California - San Diego; Scripps Institution of Oceanography, and by University of Alaska - Fairbanks as part of Stratified Ocean Dynamics of the Arctic (SODA). The Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory (LDEO) submitted these data to NCEI as part of the Rolling Deck to Repository (R2R) program. A suite of navigation products produced by the Rolling Deck to Repository program is included in this accession, which include one high resolution, one 1 minute resolution, and one low resolution coordinate file. The ADCP data represent the raw data set. Post processed quality assessed data are not available in this accession. |
