| Abstract: | This dataset includes chemical, navigational and other data collected aboard the KILO MOANA during cruise KM1120A in the North Pacific Ocean from 2011-07-24 to 2011-07-30. These data include Attenuation/Transmission, CONDUCTIVITY, DEPTH - BOTTOM, DEPTH - OBSERVATION, DISSOLVED OXYGEN, HYDROSTATIC PRESSURE, LATITUDE, LONGITUDE, SALINITY, WATER TEMPERATURE, course over ground and speed over ground. The instruments used to collect these data include CTD, GPS, echo sounder, oxygen meter and transmissometer. These data were collected by Jacqueline Caplan-Auerbach of Western Washington University, and by University of Hawaii; Marine Laboratory as part of Loihi Seismicity. The Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory (LDEO) submitted these data to NCEI as part of the Rolling Deck to Repository (R2R) program. A suite of navigation products produced by the Rolling Deck to Repository program is included in this accession, which include one high resolution, one 1 minute resolution, and one low resolution coordinate file. R2R provides a processed version of the CTD data. |
