Title: |
Water temperature collected at multiple depths from a mooring in central Lake Huron, Great Lakes region from 2012-10-23 to 2019-06-28 (NCEI Accession 0191817) |
Abstract: |
Vertical water temperature data were collected at multiple depths on a single mooring in the central basin of Lake Huron from October 2012 through June 2019. Vertical temperatures were collected hourly at 15 to 21 depths over the period of record; maximum depth of this mooring location was 220 m. Two brands of thermistors have been used over the years including R. Brancker Duo and Seabird 56, both have a temperature accuracy of ±0.02 °C. The temperature measurements were collected as continuously as possible during this time period, note there are some breaks in the temporal collection for maintaining equipment annually. Each netCDF file contains the data for a single mooring deployment since thermistor depths vary between deployments. |
