| Abstract: | This dataset includes navigational, physical and other data collected aboard the R/V Falkor during cruise FK181210 in the North Pacific Ocean from 2018-12-10 to 2018-12-23. These data include CONDUCTIVITY, CURRENT SPEED - EAST/WEST COMPONENT (U), CURRENT SPEED - NORTH/SOUTH COMPONENT (V), LATITUDE, LONGITUDE, SALINITY, WATER TEMPERATURE, course over ground and speed over ground. The instruments used to collect these data include ADCP, CTD, GPS and bathythermograph - XBT. These data were collected by Richard Camilli of Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, and by Schmidt Ocean Institute as part of New Approaches To Autonomous Exploration At The Costa Rican Shelf Break. The Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory (LDEO) submitted these data to NCEI as part of the Rolling Deck to Repository (R2R) program. A suite of navigation products produced by the Rolling Deck to Repository program is included in this accession, which include one high resolution, one 1 minute resolution, and one low resolution coordinate file. The XBT data submitted by the originator represent the raw data suite. The ADCP data represent the raw data set. Post processed quality assessed data are not available in this accession. |
