Title: Biological, chemical and other data collected aboard the R/V Falkor during cruise FK005B in the Gulf of Mexico from 2012-09-17 to 2012-09-29 (NCEI Accession 0181413)
Abstract: This dataset includes biological, chemical and other data collected aboard the R/V Falkor during cruise FK005B in the Gulf of Mexico from 2012-09-17 to 2012-09-29. These data include CONDUCTIVITY, DEPTH - BOTTOM, DEPTH - OBSERVATION, DISSOLVED OXYGEN, FLUORESCENCE, HYDROSTATIC PRESSURE, LATITUDE, LONGITUDE, SALINITY, WATER TEMPERATURE, course over ground and speed over ground. The instruments used to collect these data include CTD, GPS, echo sounder, fluorometer and oxygen meter. These data were collected by Thomas Shirley of Texas A&M University, and by Schmidt Ocean Institute as part of Coralgal Reefs of South Texas (CARSTX). The Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory (LDEO) submitted these data to NCEI as part of the Rolling Deck to Repository (R2R) program.

A suite of navigation products produced by the Rolling Deck to Repository program is included in this accession, which include one high resolution, one 1 minute resolution, and one low resolution coordinate file. R2R provides a processed version of the CTD data.
