Title: Biological, chemical, and other data collected aboard the R/V Falkor during cruise FK180624 in the North Pacific Ocean from 2018-06-24 to 2018-07-15 (NCEI Accession 0177756)
Abstract: This dataset includes biological, chemical, and other data collected aboard the R/V Falkor during cruise FK180624 in the North Pacific Ocean from 2018-06-24 to 2018-07-15. These data include Attenuation/Transmission, CONDUCTIVITY, CURRENT SPEED - EAST/WEST COMPONENT (U), CURRENT SPEED - NORTH/SOUTH COMPONENT (V), DEPTH - BOTTOM, DEPTH - OBSERVATION, DISSOLVED OXYGEN, FLUORESCENCE, HYDROSTATIC PRESSURE, LATITUDE, LONGITUDE, SALINITY, WATER TEMPERATURE, course over ground, irradiance, speed over ground, and turbidity. The instruments used to collect these data include ADCP, CTD, GPS, PAR Sensor, bathythermograph - XBT, echo sounder, fluorometer, oxygen sensor, and transmissometer. These data were collected by Andrew Babbin of Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Leighton Rolley of Schmidt Ocean Institute, Deborah Smith of Schmidt Ocean Institute, and John Fulmer of Schmidt Ocean Institute as part of Solving Microbial Mysteries. The Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory (LDEO) submitted these data to NCEI as part of the Rolling Deck to Repository (R2R) program.

The XBT data submitted by the originator represent the raw data suite. A suite of navigation products produced by the Rolling Deck to Repository program is included in this accession, which include one high resolution, one 1 minute resolution, and one low resolution coordinate file. R2R provides a processed version of the CTD data. The ADCP data represent the raw data set. Post processed quality assessed data are not available in this accession.
