Title: National Coral Reef Monitoring Program: Carbonate Budget data of a coral reef in St. Thomas on 2017-08-16 (NCEI Accession 0176573)
Abstract: This archive package contains census-based carbonate budget data that was collected from a coral reef habitat located in St. Thomas. Surveys (based on Perry et al. 2012) were conducted at Brewers Bay coral reef. Six transect surveys (10m each) were conducted to quantify benthic cover, macrobioerosion, and microbioerosion. Ten parrotfish surveys were also conducted to account for parrotfish erosion rates. This carbonate budget data along with other sea water chemistry data were collected at the long-term monitoring site during a NOAA Atlantic Oceanographic and Meteorological (AOML), Coral Reef Conservation Program (CRCP) led NCRMP mission. Sea water chemistry data are archived separately.
