Title: National Coral Reef Monitoring Program: Carbonate Budget data of Cheeca Rocks Reef in the Florida National Keys Marine Sanctuary from 2016-07-11 to 2016-07-14 (NCEI Accession 0173158)
Abstract: This archive package contains census-based carbonate budget data that was collected in coral reef habitats located near Islamorada within the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary. Surveys (based on Perry et al. 2012) were conducted at Cheeca Rocks Reef near the Map CO2 buoy. Six transect surveys (10m each) were conducted to quantify benthic cover, macrobioerosion, and microbioerosion. Ten parrotfish surveys were also conducted to account for parrotfish erosion rates. This carbonate budget data along with other sea water chemistry data were collected at the long-term Class III monitoring site during the NOAA Atlantic Oceanographic and Meteorological (AOML), Coral Reef Conservation Program (CRCP) led NCRMP missions.
