Title: SAMOS project underway oceanographic and quality-controlled meteorological data collected aboard RV Nathaniel B. Palmer from 2013-05-01 to 2013-05-31 (NCEI Accession 0110222)
Abstract: The data logging system on RV Nathaniel B. Palmer recorded underway oceanographic and meteorological data from various instruments while cruising in the South Atlantic Ocean and South Pacific Ocean from 2013-05-01 to 2013-05-31. During this period, as part of the Shipboard Automated Meteorological and Oceanographic System (SAMOS) project, the data logging system sent the data daily via e-mail to Florida State University (FSU), where the Center for Ocean-Atmospheric Prediction Studies (COAPS) quality-controlled (QCed) the meteorological data. COAPS submitted three versions of the data to the National Oceanographic Data Center (NODC): the original data e-mailed by the data logging system and first-level (automatically and merged) QCed data. This dataset contains all these data.
