Data Set Description: This is a subset of the Deep Sea Coral Research and Technology Program’s National Database. The data represent records of deep-sea corals and sponges observed on 40 underwater drop camera transects conducted at two sites off Kodiak Island in the Gulf of Alaska. Surveys were conducted off NOAA Ship Oscar Dyson in 2015 by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Alaska Fisheries Science Center and coral, sponge and fish annotation were supported by the Deep Sea Coral Research and Technology Program’.
