Point Reyes, Bear Valley, California, Douglas Fir - CA608 Additional Site Information Peter M. Brown Most series in chronology are from trees cored in plots above Bear Valley Visitor Center to document age structure in the stand. Chronology was also used for dating control on remnant material collected for fire history study. Chronology developed with 100 cubic smoothing spline. Closed-canopy forest for the most part, low-frequency climate patterns likely confounded by stand dynamics. Collection will eventually be archived at Point Reyes National Seashore as part of fire history study material. Reference: Brown, P.M., M.W. Kaye, and D. Buckley. In review.
