Remnant of the Ice Age

From the time of Louis Agassiz to the present, scientists have sought to understand why glaciers 
once covered nearly one-third of earth's land surface. In the process, they have discovered much 
about earth's changing climate, but many questions still remain. Scientists are currently exploring 
some of the many climate feedback mechanisms in the search for the answers.
