Tab 2	Metadata for the proxy data series used for the regional temperature reconstructions (Database S2)
	The African records are listed in the metadatabase, but not tabullated individually because no regional temperature reconstruction is presented
	
Tab 3	Individual proxy records for Antarctica
	The James Ross Island (JRI) record was only used in the West Antarctic reconstruction, and not the main Antarctic reconstruction or the alternate reconstructions
	
Tab 4	Individual proxy records for the Arctic
	Samples spanning multiple years are represented by a single proxy value at the midpoint of the temporal range
	Column following multi-year samples list number of years represented by each sample

	Tree-ring data are usually aggregated over an area of a couple of degrees with the notable exception of the Tor92 record

	The location of each region is represented by its centroid
	Years represent the mid-point of 30-year intervals
	
Tab 9	Individual proxy records for North American tree-ring-based reconstruction organized by PAGES 2k ID
	The first set of 94 records is the data used in the 1500-1980 portion of the reconstruction
	The second set, 93 records, is the data used to drive the 1200-1499 portion of the reconstruction,along with their corresponding values from 1500-1987
	Highlighting as follows:
	1) yellow highlighting indicates Luckman and Sauchin chronologies moved into their place according to the Metadata tab
	2) large bold-border box indicates data values added for 1500-1987 for the 1200-1987 calibration data set
	3) bold-border boxes of metadata and ITRDB identifiers in rows 5 and 6 indicate records where the PAGES 2k ID numbers are out of the sequence presented in the Metadata tab -- note that these identifiers (and their ITRDB record names)  ARE  applied to the correct data sets
