Methane data from Brook et al., Global Biogeochemical Cycles, 14(2), 559-57. The GISP2 gas age time scale is from Brook et al., Science 273:1087-1091. The Taylor Dome gas age time scale was derived by correlating the GISP2 and Taylor Dome methane records. Methane concentrations were determined by GC-FID using standards calibrated by NOAA CMDL. The gas age time scales and analytical techniques are described in further detail in the publication.
